One-Year Plan
A plan that fits on one page, so it gets used. Three goals at most, each one measurable.
Up to three goals for the next twelve months, each with a number and a date, broken into actions with a month, a person and a cost next to each. It also names the main risks and the people who can help. It fits on one page.
What you get
- Session one: where the business is now and what you want from it
- Up to three goals that pass five tests: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and dated
- Session two: an action table. What, which month, who, and what it needs
- The main risk for each goal and what you will do if it happens
- A list of who can help: what you control, who you can influence, and what you can only watch
- The plan on one page, as a PDF and a printable sheet, with a monthly review sheet
What to bring
- Last year's sales, even roughly
- What you want the business to look like a year from now
- The people who will do the work, if there are any besides you
If you do not have something on this list, tell us. We work with what there is.

Questions about this service
Why only three goals?
Because a small business has a small number of hours. A plan with ten priorities has none. Three goals with dates get done more often than ten good intentions.
How is this different from a business plan?
A business plan explains the business to someone else, usually a lender or a funder. A one-year plan tells you what to do on Monday. Many small businesses need the second and are sold the first.
Can you do this with a whole team?
Yes. For a school, an NGO, a cooperative, a church or an office, the plan is run as a half-day session for up to 12 people in Rundu, from N$1,999. Everyone leaves with the same page.
